Abstract
E-learning continued to increase in the realm of home environment, corporate training, and education. In education choosing the “right†on-line tutorials and effective teaching methodologies enhances student learning. Although security of on-line testing has been a topic of debate, plagiarism occurs as much on-line as it does in on-campus courses. Data presents an analysis of E-learning mathematics students’ passing rate versus failing rate. This paper discusses how to use the ASSURE Model to improve the students’ learning outcomes for the departments of mathematics E-learning courses, allowing educators to reflect on their own process and methodologies regarding E-learning. The findings of this study will provide faculty members teaching on-line courses with ways of structuring their on-line courses. Index Terms - E-learning, Multimedia, Technology, Teaching Styles, and ASSURE Model
