International Library Address (ILA)
International Library Address (ILA) is a permanent address assigned to an online library. ILA is a modern fixed international library address and auto-detects any possible changes in the online library address and auto-adjusts itself to the library new address, or only loads library basic version and its abstracted journals if the library went offline or removed, extending the library and articles life time.
ILA solves old common problems of online libraries with the following advantages:
- ILA keeps article permanently online via permanent ILA address.
- ILA auto-detects any change in article online address and auto-adjusts itself to it.
- ILA auto-detects any change in the library address and auto-adjust itself to the new address.
- ILA loads the journal basic version temporarily when library goes offline allowing readers still read articles and authors to submit articles.
- ILA extends library and its articles lifetime by keeping library and article basic version permanently online.
- No need to inform authors any change in library address as ILA auto-connects to library new address.
- ILA allows improvement of libraries by allowing readers to give feedback about library aspects to the publisher.
Accessing Library by ILA:
An ILA is a permanent address to an specific library (example: ILA.zone/23633624786), the library directly can be accessed simply by typing the ILA address in an internet browser. As example, find associated library to this ILA: ILA.zone/23633624786 by internet browser or use following ILA portal:
ILA Syntax Structure:
An ILA consisted of two parts, zone name separated by an slash from 11 digit ILA number: ILA.zone/11 digits. ILA is 22 length including zone name as following example: ILA.zone/23633624786:
According to the International Libraries Registry (ILR) standard, library holder should explicitly display ILA in the described format on online published articles. ILA cannot be any arbitrary number. It is self-verifiable number according to ASI-V3 algorithm. To check the validity of an ILA, an ILA validator portal is used.
ILA VALIDATOR    History of Development of ILA:
Uniform Resource Locator (URL) invented in 1989 in Switzerland. Its drawback is that when URL of a library website changes or goes offline, the reader cannot access the library. The publisher should notify readers/authors about the new library address. International library Address (ILA) was introduced on 2014 by Advanced Science Index (ASI) in Germany as a permanent address of a library fixed during its lifetime and after that by extending its lifetime. The ILA keeps a library basic version and its article abstracts on a separate server. If the library address is changed ILA servers auto-detect it and auto-adjust itself to the new address. The publisher does not need to notify a new library address, as the author can still access the library via the ILA address. In case the library went offline ILA loads only the basic library version and its abstract article temporarily allowing the reader to read and the author still submit paper to the library.
