Performance Analysis of cmli with Reduced Number of Power Switches for Photovoltaic Systems

Abstract
This paper proposes a new structure of Cascaded Multilevel Inverter (CMLI) topology with reduced number of controlled power switches and gate driver circuits for Photo Voltaic (PV) system applications. The proposed system consists of number of series connected controlled power switches and an H-bridge inverter. The installation area and switching loss across the controlled power switches get minimized in the new structure of CMLI system. The entire system is developed and simulated using SIMULINK. The performance parameters of the new structure of CMLI system are analyzed and the necessary simulation results are obtained.
