Abstract
This paper presents estimation of levelized electricity cost of solar chimney power plant of different capacities if constructed in India. Estimation of quantity of different materials required and capital cost of construction for different power outputs is made. Based on capital cost, operation cost and maintenance cost, levelized electricity cost for solar chimney power plant of different capacities ranging from 5 MW to 200 MW is calculated and compared for different plant output.
