Abstract
This study, presents of the thermal performance of a solar air heater collector, in this part must be created a hollow longitudinal fins back an absorber plate to form semi-cylindrical; for an increase, the heat exchange surface in the solar collector. The single pass solar air heaters were constructed and tested for thermal efficiency at a geographic location of Biskra the city of Algeria. The experimental facility includes comprehensive measurement of global solar radiation, wind speed, airflow, ambient temperature, inlet and outlet temperature, the effect of air mass flow rate on the outlet temperature and thermal efficiency was studied for the same flow rate m = 0.015 kg/s. The efficiency of the type B is found to be higher than the type A by rate 15.93% and a lesser solar intensity by rate 285 W/m², the maximum thermal efficiency obtained between 34.4% and 50.33% respectively. Index Terms—solar intensity, temperature, mass fl...
