A Robot for Ice Removing of Tether in High Altitude Wind Power Stations

Abstract
A novel robot with capable of ice removing combined thermal and ultrasonic approaches for tether of high altitude wind power station (HAWPS) is proposed. All parts of the robot are described. The robot is modeled using multi body dynamic approaches. By performing practical experiments on a manufactured prototype in simulated line environment, the feasibility of the proposed concept is validated.  Index Terms—HAWPS, Inspection robot, Multi-body dynamic
