Abstract
This paper summarize the case study of Nepal first piloted gasifier for rural electrification in Madhuban Goth village. The technology transfer and cost associated with it has been also summarized. The impact of the technology transfer in terms of technical aspects, sustainable and socio-economic aspects has been also discussed. So far, the power plant has been running in economically sustainable way. The role of the biomass selection has been the important parameter in order to develop the success stories of this kind of technology. Index Terms— Gasifier, biomass,Â
