Abstract
Various surveys have shown that many accidents occur due to driver drowsiness. A sleepy driver is much more dangerous on the road than one who is speeding. In a study conducted by the national awareness foundation, it has been found that around 24% of drivers feel drowsy while driving. These statistics present a very scary picture. The driver detection system is a car safety system that helps in the prevention of accidents caused by driver drowsiness. Drowsy driving is a serious threat to road safety. For detection of drowsiness, the most important indicator is the driver's eye behaviour. For analyzing the behaviour, we use a landmark detector in our algorithm which is robust against varied head positions. This paper proposes a driver drowsiness detection system, which helps to detect the driver's sleepiness and prevent accidents. In this paper, we use Open CV to detect drivers
