Response Modification Factor for Reinforced Concrete T-shape Resistant Frame (RC-TRF)

Abstract
Many earthquakes have taken place recently in all over the world, and these have proved to be disastrous. A large number of buildings have collapse and countless lives have been lost. So it seems to counter the damage caused by earthquake is a need to mobilize the international community, for this purpose we suggest new seismic systems as TRF (T Resistant Frame). This new form of framing systems constructed through a deep beam vertically placed in the middle of span, connected with two deep link beams to the columns. In this paper, we analyze 3, 5, 7 storey structures in according to Iranian loading codes. The R-Factor is calculated and the behavior of this system is investigated. Results demonstrate this system has high Behavior Factor and more ductility. Index Terms: TRF, Pushover analysis, Nonlinear Behavior, R-Factor, Retrofit system
