Abstract
In this article, investigation, analysis and design of concrete slab tracks in track super-structure of Iran subways have been reviewed under different loadings and operating conditions. Also, concrete slab track in track super-structure has been modeled by FEM and analyzed. Additionally, it has been designed in different thicknesses and defined operating conditions according to AREMA standard. In this regard, several diagrams have been presented to reach to a specific method in designing these concrete slab tracks to design them simply and accurately. In order to confirm the validity of this method, the concrete slab track, performed in Isfahan subway, has been studied as a case study in this method, and technical specifications of Isfahan subway track has been compared with the obtained values by this method.  Index Terms—concrete slab track, finite element, subway, analysis and design.
