Abstract
This paper represents probability of failure for Kirchhoff plates under compressive loading. FORM, SORM, and importance sampling methods are used to compute reliability index  and probability of failure. At first, these methods are explained, then, limit state function for a plate under compressive conditions is presented. At the end, the obtained results of above mentioned techniques are compared with each other.Keywords: Thin Plates, FORM, SORM, Importance Sampling, Reliability.Â
