Abstract
In this study, we evaluate the nutritive effect of the pomegranate extract on the Porphyromonas Gingivalis. Objective: Recent study shows that there is increased interest in the use of herbal product to maintain health and treatment of many illness instead of using medicine and surgical solution. The main goal of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of pomegranate extracts on Porphyromonas Gingivalis as one of bacteria that cause periodontal disease. Methods: This study relies on random assignment and laboratory control performed in Manila Central University College of Dentistry in 2015 the pomegranate as an herbal medicament prepared by researchers. The researchers prepare microbial suspension from 24H old culture of the Porphyromonas Gingivalis. The suspending medium used was 0.1 % peptone water.
