Abstract
Virtual learning environments have taken on great relevance in recent years in multiple aspects of society. This is why this research is necessary, since its objective is focused on analyzing the type of training offered by Spanish universities to their teachers. By means of a non-experimental analysis method in which the aim is to describe the variables, the analysis is carried out by means of the study of the training offer of 28 Spanish universities, the type of format in which higher education institutions carry out teacher training is studied. It is concluded by highlighting how most universities offer both face-to-face training and training through virtual learning environments, the second option being the majority. This may occur due to the extraordinary situation that has existed, since society has undergone strong changes and has been subjected to a digital context that until then had been little explored.
