Abstract
This work shows the results of research on the educational dilemmas faced by teachers in the pedagogical practice in the school context. A dilemma is basically a disjunctive, where a decisional position must be taken and this leads that one or another way affecting those involved or one of them. The research was of qualitative approach, descriptive level, and field modality; hence, the data were collected through a qualitative survey applied to 107 teachers from Distrito Educativo 17D09 of Quito-Ecuador. The results show that those investigated face educational dilemmas related to decision-making in the pedagogical field concerning affective, social, curricular, and behavioral situations. Therefore, it is concluded that the investigated context is characterized by the presence of educational dilemmas that mediate the relationships among teachers, and students, as well as among these and other participants in the educational environment.
