Abstract
The purpose of the study was to establish the relationship between training and organisationalcommitment at the Takoradi Polytechnic.Descriptive and cross-sectional research designs were used in collecting data from senior member,senior staffs and junior staffs through questionnaires. A multi-stage sampling technique helped in arriving ata sample size of 267. Demographic and organisational characteristic data were presented in frequencies andpercentages whereas linear correlation analysis tested the relation between the observed variables and theunderlying construct variables.The study revealed majority of the respondents agreeing that they received training when they joinedthe institution, and the training received was sufficient and principally on-the-job approach meeting theirsatisfaction.
