Abstract
Pictograms are signs designed using a pictorial language, aimed at eliminating the communication barrier between different cultures. Pictograms have international meaning and information and the communication speed is extremely fast when compared to written communication. Therefore, it is believed that their use during counseling in pharmacy services will contribute positively to the treatment of the patient and it can be used as an effective and alternative tool for communicating with hearing-impaired and illiterate patients or who use the wrong/incomplete medication. Thus, the frequency of the undesired side effects due to misuse will be reduced by ensuring that the patient uses the drug correctly and effectively and the meaningful contribution may be made to the country's economy through decreasing health expenditures by rational drug use.
