Abstract
We aimed to determine endocan and high sensitive C reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels in the serum of both ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients in the acute period(on the first day of the event) and to determine the role of endocan and hs-CRP levels on stroke development and prognosis by comparing these levels with those of healthy controls. Venous blood samples were taken from 45 patients who were admitted to Cumhuriyet University Hospital Neurology Department between June 1, 2018 and 2019, and volunteers, and serum endocan and hs-CRP levels were examined. The relationship of these values ​​with arrival Glasgow Coma Score, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale, Modified Rankin Score (MRS), 3rd month MRS values ​​and lesion volumes on brain imaging were evaluated.
