Abstract
The article explores one of the several problems of the digital era: the influence of internet technologies on freedom of speech and how this affects the basic principles of democracy. Firstly, the essay analyze the theoretical framework of deliberative democracy, developing elements like freedom –basic pillar of liberal democracy- and issues related with freedom of speech, key right for every process of communication. Secondly, and with special consideration on elements of philosophy and anthropology, the work will focus on the relation created between men and new internet technologies. After this, the research will consider the negative influences that these developments have over the process of deliberation and in which way the decisions adopted within are negatively affected.
