Abstract
The imminent expiration of the Software Industry Promotion Regime with possible finalization in December 2019 poses a new scenario in the local Software Industry. Prior to its culmination and due to its implications, in a current political and economic context substantially different from that when it was promoted, we will seek to expose the theme for its respective debate. The objective of this article will be to show the importance and need to support the Software Industry through various public policy mechanisms and especially through the continuity of the Software Industry Promotion Regime, not only as a tool to increase the competitiveness of the Industry in particular, but to support the digital transformation that will position Argentina against the challenges presented by the digital age.
