Abstract
This article deals with language as the only available tool for translators in their jobs. Accordingly, translators have a wide range of different expressions to translate texts. In literary translation, translators have a certain freedom when it comes to choosing from expressions what could reflect best the glamour of the source text. In specialized translation, however, they may not enjoy the same amount of freedom because specialized language is a language of science, characterized by precision and preestablished expressions and terms. Through the analysis of a press article translated from English into Arabic, we attempted to deduce if the translator has only laid terms and pre-established expressions side by side, or he has relied on literary language to produce a text equal text to the source.
