Abstract
Teacher education basically is one who delivers an educational program gives instructions based on the certain prescribed syllabi, guides students in achieving their objectives as desired by the aim of education, helps in tackling problematic situations, develops curricular and extracurricular skills, and helps the students to develop an integrated personality to cope up with the changing demands of the society. Teacher education refers to the policies and procedures designed to prospective teachers with the knowledge, attitudes, behaviour, and skills they require to perform their tasks effectively in the classroom, and the wider community. National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), an apex body controlling teacher education programs in the country, defined teacher education as a program of education, research, and training of persons to teach from preprimary to higher education level
