Abstract
Russian economists must contribute to the national project "Science" via publishing their papers in top international journals indexed in "Web of Science" and "Scopus" and possessing impact-factors. In order to overcome the evident difficulties in solution of this task, it is necessary to analyze the current experience of successful article publishing in such editions by Russian scientists. For this purpose, 10 papers from major journal of the "Elsevier" publisher authored solely by Russian economists are analyzed. As a rule, these articles have 2–3 authors, the majority of whom represent the only Russian university. Thematically, these works are oriented on problems relevant to finances and innovations.
