Abstract
An experiment was conducted during 2012-13 to 2016-17 at AICRP-Cashew, Regional Fruit Research Station, Vengurle - 416 516, Dist. Sindhudurg (M.S.) with an objective to evaluate the growth and yield performance of different hybrids/ types under Konkan region of Maharashtra. The trial was laid out with 11 genotypes in Randomized Block Design and three replications. The grafts of all cashew accessions of uniform age and size were planted during 2008 at 7m x 7m distance. The uniform package of practices including the plant protection schedule was followed simultaneously during entire experimentation. Among the 11 types/hybrids studied, the highest mean pooled nut weight recorded in V-7 (8.77g) followed in H-662 (8.57g) & B.H. 6 (8.29g) while, significantly the maximum mean pooled apple weight was observed in B.H. 6 (82.60g) and followed by H-1593 (75.36g) & K-22-1 (73.31g).
