Abstract
A field experiment entitled, effect of different shadenet on growth, flowering, yield and quality of cucumber (Cucumic sativus L.) was carried out during summer-2016 at Horticulture Instructional Farm, Department of Horticulture, Chimanbhai Patel College of Agriculture, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar (Gujarat). In this investigation two different growing conditions viz. 50% green shadenet and 50% white shadenet were tested in the Factorial Randomized Block Design with three replications. Treatments were evaluated on the basis of growth, yield and quality characteristics of cucumber. Maximum vine length at 30 and 60 DAS, leaf area per plant, number of female flowers per plant, per cent fruit set, number of fruits per plant, weight of fruit, yield per plant, yield per meter square, fruit length and fruit diameter were observed with 50% white shadenet, but minimum male flowers per plant was observe...
