Abstract
The experiment was conducted at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Morabadi, Ranchi (Jharkhand)during 2017-18 and 2018- 19 to study the population dynamics of aphid Lipaphis erysimi (Kalt.) infesting organically cultivated mustard.The variety Kala Moti was cultivated using organic cultivation practices. During the research study, first appearance of aphid was noticedduring 45th Standard Meteorological Week (SMW). However, highest population of the pest was recorded during 3rd SMW. The correlationbetween population buildup of aphid and weather parameters was determined and found that the population of aphid was negativelycorrelated with both maximum and minimum temperature, minimum relative humidity and rainfall whereas the positively correlated withmaximum relative humidity and wind speed
