Abstract
The present report was studied for the estimation of SLSI in districts of Andhra Pradesh. Sustainable Livelihood Security Index (SLSI) waspredicted and compared among districts for years 2006, 2016 and 2017 by considering 3 indicators viz., Ecological security Index (ESI),Economic Efficiency Index (EEI) & Social Security Index (SSI). Weights were allotted to these indicators using Budget allocation method.The results of study revealed that Guntur district ranked first in SLSI with index value 0.6691, and Vizianagarm district ranked last (thirteen)with 0.2105 index value in year 2006. East Godavari district ranked first with index values of 0.7608 and 0.7465 respectively in 2016 &2017. Vizianagarm and Vishakapatanam districts stood in last position in years 2016 and 2017 with 0.2374 and 0.2236 index valuesrespectively.
