Abstract
Throughout history, people have felt the need to inspire and enrich their surroundings by taking natural life as an example. Products created functionally have changed over the years but have not lost their main identity. Safranbolu is one of the settlements where leather and plate workshops Ottoman Empire's last period and the Republic's early years the early years of the Republic. Although there is no active plate workshop in Safranbolu today, the presence of the Plate Workshop Settlement in the Old Bazaar shows that leather and plate workshops were important in the history of Safranbolu.
