Abstract
Powdery mildew of okra is one of the important diseases of crop causing considerable yield losses. The incidence and intensity of disease depends on several environmental factors. Field trial was conducted to correlate the weather parameters with powdery mildew disease on okra cultivar ‘Phule Utkarsha’. Observations on incidence and intensity of disease on plants were recorded upto final harvest of the crop. Intensity of powdery mildew disease in the season was correlated with meteorological factors and was found that there was significant positive correlation of disease intensity with sunshine hours and maximum temperature while, significant negative correlation of disease intensity with minimum temperature, evening relative humidity and wind velocity. Negative correlation of disease intensity with rainfall, rainy days and morning humidity was observed but was non-significant. Hence, average temperature range between 19.7 to 28.9...
