Abstract
The present investigation was carried out at Aditya Agril. Biotechnology College Beed, during 2017-18. The zinc nanoparticles were synthesizedto study their antimicrobial activity against fungal and bacterial cultures. Zinc nanoparticles were synthesized by precipitation method andobserved particle size from 8.66 nm to 18.4 nm with crystalline dimension. The antimicrobial activity was tested as per the mean zone of inhibitionformed by zinc nanoparticles against the fungal cultures viz. Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceri (14.06 mm), Alternaria clamydospora (10.44 mm),Aspergillus niger (8.34 mm), and Macrofomina phaseiolina (8.38); as well as against bacterial cultures viz. Pseudomonas aerigenosa (6.74 mm),Staphylococcus aureus (8.1 mm), and E. coli (7.3 mm) were observed qualitatively on nutrient agar (NA) and potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium,by agar well diffusion method.
