Abstract
Indiscriminate use of agro chemicals have adversely affected soil fertility, crop productivity and produce quality. Importance for organic and chemical free food consumption is growing rapidly. Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) is fetching more income at low cost of cultivation, besides it provides healthy life to the consumers as no chemicals are used in the production. However, the scientific reports on the effect of ZBNF are meagre. For this, an investigation was carried out during the kharif, 2016 at Agricultural College, Jagtial to study the evaluation of natural farming on economics of maize in comparison with inorganic and organic farming. The results of the study shown that the highest monetary gains for maize can be attained by inorganic farming method in DHM 117. The net returns and B:C ratio were found to be higher in inorganic farming using DHM 117 hybrid as compared to organic and natural farming.
