Abstract
The present study is focused on cost of cultivation and resource use efficiency of Bt cotton cultivation in Warangal district of Telangana State.Multistage sampling procedure was adopted. Warangal district of Telangana was purposively selected for the study as the district stands firstin terms of area and production. Two Mandals viz., Parkal and Raiparthy were selected based on the highest area under Bt cotton cultivationfor the present investigation. The data was collected from 120 farmers with the help of interview schedule. Study revealed that the total costfor the cultivation of one-hectare cotton was Rs. 79,993. It was also observed from the data that marginal, small and large farms showed thatthe cost of cultivation is Rs.75642.53, Rs.79389.55 and Rs.87806.51 respectively.
