Abstract
Field experimentation was done at Agricultural Research Station, Paramakudi, Tamil Nadu in 2018-19 to find out the interactions betweenirrigation practices and weed management strategies in semi-dry Direct Seeded Rice (DSR). The trail was laid out in split plot design.Irrigation practices formed the main plot and weed management strategies were allotted in sub plots. A significant interaction was found ingrowth and yield characters of rice by water and weed management practices. Application of water when water level drops to 10 cm belowsoil surface (I1) had higher values of plant height, DMP grain and straw yield (3819 kg ha-1 and 5607 kg ha-1). Further along with this, application of the herbicide, PE pendimethalin @1.0 kg / ha at 3DAS fb EPOE bispyribac sodium@ 25 g / ha at 15 DAS recorded highervalues in growth and yield parameters of rice compared to all other treatments.
