Abstract
The six generations (P1, P2, F1, F2, BC1 and BC2) derived from three crosses (BDN-708 x PUSA-2001, BDN-708 x SKNP-0632, BDN-708 x BRG-3) were evaluated for yield and yield components in a randomized block design at Agricultural Research Station, Badnapur, Jalna during kharif 2016. The means of six generation were subjected to detect main effect and gene interactions. The estimate of six parameter model revealed that, dominance (h) and dominance x dominance (l) type of gene action played an important role in the inheritance of the plant height (cm), number of primary branches per plant, number of secondary branches per plant, number of pods per plant, number of seed per pod, seed yield per plant, pod length (cm), 100-seed weight (gm), protein content (%).
