Abstract
The soil test based fertilizer prescriptions for wheat were studied in loamy sand soils (Inceptisol) of Anand district of Gujarat during 2017-18. After the establishment of a fertility gradient, four levels of fertilizer N, P and K and three levels of farmyard manure (FYM) wererandomized in three fertility strips each having twenty-four plots. Soil and plant analysis data were used to calculate the basic parametersrequired for the development of fertilizer prescription equations. The wheat required 2.34 kg of N, 0.42 kg of P2O5 and 1.95 kg of K2O forproducing one quintal of wheat grain. The per cent contribution of nutrients from the soil (CS) and fertilizer (CF) were found 19.90 and48.69 for N, 21.42 and 18.12 for P2O5 and 17.75 and 93.97 for K2O, respectively. Similarly, the per cent contribution of N, P2O5 and K2Ofrom FYM (CFYM) were 21.09, 8.24 and 11.15, respectively. The fertilizer prescription equations were developed for NPK a...
