Abstract Considering the better utilization of slurry in its original condition uniformly over entire soil surface, present investigation was carried out todevelop bullock drawn liquid manure (slurry) applicator. It consisted of slurry storage tank, spreading pipe assembly, main frame and controlvalve. Its performance was evaluated in terms of theoretical field capacity (TFC), effective field capacity (EFC), Field Efficiency (FE) andapplication rate. The physiological responses of bullocks in terms of pulse rate, respiration rate and body temperature were also measuredduring the operation. The application rate of slurry was determined at 1/3rd, 2/3rd and full opening. The theoretical application rate of slurry atrespective opening was 10847 lit/ha, 16381 lit/ha and 20355 lit/ha respectively. For slurry application at 2/3rd of opening.
