The standard cost concepts were usedfor working out per hectare cost and returns. Regression model used to study the technical efficiency and allocative efficiency and handlingpractices of pesticide use and safety measure. The per hectare cost of production for overall 96 farmers at cost 'A1, was Rs. 28364.12, cost'B1 was Rs. 29684.12. whereas cost B2 was Rs. 50127.00 and cost 'C1 was Rs. 35318.72, Cost C2 is Rs. 55761.60. whereas cost C3 isRs.61337.76. The major share of cost of cultivation goes towards cost 'A1' was plant protection chemical (15.49 per cent). Return to scale ofpesticide was 02.08.
