Abstract
The impact of geometrically increasing world population has created urgency to increase food grain production by several times comparedto present. The only possibility to reduce pests losses to achieve this target without deterioration is to use organic insect pest managementpractices. Among various measures taken the one with zero adverse impact on overall environment is the use of biopesticides. Among manyof these botanicals used in agriculture, the Neem is one of the best and most used to tackle the insect pest problems employing differentmechanisms and targeting sites at different life stages. With the view of current global climate change this paper will accordingly reviewsthe utilization of botanical extracts and oils as bio-pesticides with ingrained pesticidal activities.
