Abstract
Present study was focused to investigate millet consumption pattern which includes form of use, history, frequency and different processingmethods use to cook millets of 100 millet consuming respondents in Gachibowli and Miyapur of Hyderabad, Telangana State, India. Datawere collected through the personal interview, with the help of self-prepared interview schedule. More than half of the respondentsconsuming millet in the form of millet rice. Preferred method of processing for millets was boiling > soaking > roasting > baking > deepfrying. None of the respondents was followed germination, fermentation, steaming and parboiling. Reason as expressed by respondents was,they do not know the process and importance of processing millets.
