Abstract
The study examined the marketing system and the major constraints in marketing of turmeric in the Amravati district of Maharastara.For thepresent study, 90 turmeric cultivators were selected from Morshi, Warud, Tiwsa tehsils of Amravati district. The 2 villages were selectedpurposively from each tehsil. From each village 15 farmers were selected randomly. The selected farmers were classified into threecategories viz., small, medium, large according to their land holding. The primary data was collected from the farmers by survey method.Outof four channels, More than one third (38.89 per cent) of the farmer sale turmeric through channel III (Producer?Villagetrader?Wholesaler?Consumer).Highest marketing cost incurred by the producer was Rs. 787.72 and highest selling price of producer wasseen in channel l (Producer?
