Abstract
The safety of insecticides chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC, indoxacarb 14.5 SC, spinosad 2.5 SC and quinalphos 25 EC was studied on adultemergence, percent mortality and percent parasitisation of Trichogramma chilonis an egg parasitoid of diamond back moth in cabbage andcauliflower ecosystem. Among the test insecticides chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC at 2.5, 5 and 10 g a.i. ha-1 recorded 86.42, 82.21 and 77.29percent adult emergence. The percent adult mortality was recorded less with chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC at 2.5, 5 and 10 g a.i.ha-1, indoxacarb 14.5 SC at 20 g a.i. ha-1 and quinalphos 25 EC at 500 g a.i ha-1 which recorded 13.58, 17.79, 22.71, 30.70 and 44.48 percentmortality and were found to be safe to T. chilonis whereas indoxacarb 14.5 SC at 40 g a.i. ha-1 and spinosad 2.5 SC at 17.5 g and 8.75 ga.i ha-1 were slightly harmful by recording 51.19, 50.88 and 54.13 per cent mortality respectively. The test insecticides, chlorantranilipr...
