Abstract
The KVK, Adilabad is popularizing the cultivation of turmeric on raised bed cultivation for efficient use of natural resources and preventionof rhizome rot for harvesting bumper yields and income. As turmeric is high input intensive and long duration crop, harvesting will be doneafter 9-10 months and reaping of early income for initial investment on turmeric become difficult for tribal farmers in this region. UnderFrontline demonstrations, demonstrated the raised bed cultivation of turmeric with paired row method with the spacing of 30 X 15 cm alongwith drip irrigation system. On raised bed broadcasted the methi with the seed rate of 1.0q per acre immediately after planting of turmericrhizomes. Tribal farmers sold an average of 8140 methi bunch @ Rs.9 per bunch.
