Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence, clinical symptoms, haematological investigation and therapeutic management of Canine Demodicosis patients presented to the Veterinary Clinical Complex of the College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, A.A.U., Guwahati, Assam. Seventy-four dogs with various skin disorders were evaluated and 19 cases (25.67 percent) were found to have Demodex canis mite infestations. Demodicosis was found be most prevalent in puppies and dogs aged 0-1 years (42.11 per cent) and in dogs of the mongrel breed (47.36%).
