Abstract
The agricultural segment has constantly played a strategic role in supplying food to the growing population which continues to produce more food along with the rising population. Therefore, the role of rural youth as the next generation for the sustainability of the agricultural sector is very important. But rural youth population participation in agriculture is declining. With this background, this research study helps to know the profile of rural youth engaged in agriculture. The majority of respondents rural youth were in the third subgroup of age (42.67%), educational qualification college to University level (40.34%), most of the rural youth are unmarried (66.00%), having a family size small category (42.66%), low farming experience (48.67%), small land holding (38.00%), majority rural youth agriculture farming is the major family occupation (49.00%), had a low-middle level of annual income (40.66%), with a medium level of social...
