Abstract
The present study was conducted to analyse the profile and problems of tenants practising sharecropping in Ramanagar and Bangalore RuralDistricts of Karnataka state during 2020-21. Thirty-three tenants practising sharecropping were interviewed personally using a pre-testedschedule. It was observed that larger number of tenants were of old age (42.42%), studied up to primary school (21.21%) having large family(36.35%) and moderate level of farming experience (60.60%). A greater proportion of the tenants were falling under medium level ofemployment opportunities (45.45%) and annual income (42.42%), while a majority of the tenants were having low level of innovative proneness(60.60%) and extension participation (81.81%).
