Abstract
Potato is a vegetatively propagated crop and hence production of disease free planting material is the major constraint. In this direction,aeroponic technology using tissue culture plants emerged as a potential option to produce planting material i.e., mini tubers. In soil lessaeroponically grown plants, water and nutrients are supplied by regular misting of nutrient solution to the root zone. From this context,besides the misting technique and cycle, the nutrient composition, pH and EC and frequency of delivery determines the growth anddevelopment. Objective of the research was to improve the growth during pre-tuberization period by identifying suitable nutrient composition.Different nutrient composition treatments were assessed for improving growth and development during pre-tuberization period.
