Thesense of taste, which identifies basic tastes such as sweet, salt, bitter, sour and umami is considered predominant since it is the last sense throughwhich animals can obtain information about food before it is eaten. Taste additives can be one of the promising substances in enhancing thepalatability of feed under special circumstances for the animals and hence maintaining sustainable production.
