Abstract
Weeding is an important which is done timely but equally labour intensive agricultural unit operation. The engine operated power weedershave been designed and developed in different research organizations either with the fixed blades attached to stationary tines or rotary bladesmounted on a rotating shaft for weeding operation. VNMKV Parbhani have developed a power weeder and the same was evaluated fordifferent ergonomical aspects Working heart rate is less for the intervention I1 which ranges from 82 to 84.7 beats per min for weedingoperation with straight blade while the values are 86 to 91.5 beats per minutes for weeding with rotary blade . Highest oxygen consumptionobserved was for I4 intervention with speed of 1.8 kmph for rotary blade. The lowest heart rate was observed for straight blade with 1.2 kmphspeed and I1 intervention. The values of ODR ranges from 1.4 to 3.8 .The BPDS values for the straight blade weeding were ranging ...
