Scope
Abstract Tef (Eragrostis tef (Zucc.) is one of the main food crop and an annual cultivated in many parts of Ethiopia. Therefore, the field experiment was carried out for two (2015 and 2016) consecutive seasons at Banshure district, Buno Bedele Zone to evaluate the effects of seed rate and row spacing on growth, yield and yield components. The treatments consisted combinations of three row spacing (15, 20, 25 cm) and three levels of seed rate (5, 10, 15 and 25 kg ha-1 broadcasting as control) was laid down in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. The yield and yield related parameters like grain yield, straw yield, above ground biomass and harvest index was significantly (P ≤ 0.05) affected by seed rate and row spacing except panicle length.
