Determining the Dimensions of the Bottom Gate Based on Flood Hydrograph through Linearization of State Equations

Abstract
Dam hydraulic is a guide to hydraulic design of the bottom outlets’ components, the impounding structures, overflow structures, and flow diversion structures while construction and structures used for removing sediment from the reservoir. The gates make it possible to exploit the dam in a flexible manner. The gates not functioning properly, them being damaged, and designing their gate dimensions improperly may lead to the danger of overflowing. The gates must be opened and closed based on the exploitation plan in order to prevent the damages caused by flood. Although the gates change and control the reservoir level, control flood, and create higher reserve levels, not exploiting the gates properly will create dangers for the dam. Therefore the gates must be designed based on dam hydraulic.
